NORTHLAND RESORT

About Us

The resort has spanned 3 generations of the Anderson family for over 36 years.

From those years of experience as the owners and hosts of Northland Resort and founders of the Anderson Family Resorts, we know how to provide our guests with the comforts of home while away from home, and the assurance that we are always available to meet our guests’ vacation needs. Let us help you see why generations of our guests return year after year!

“We love it up here in the North Country and our years are full of great memories of our guests. We’re working year-round to give you a vacation you won’t forget. We invite you to come and see for yourself why our guests find it so hard to leave this special place – where time is measured in memories not minutes.”

Thank you for taking time to visit our website. Feel free to call us at 800-247-1719 with your vacation questions and come enjoy the beauty, peace, great fishing and fun here with us!

“Anderson’s Northland Lodge is like stepping into a different world. Peaceful, relaxing, fun, great friends and a fantastic place to get away from it all.”

Joann Warden, Minneapolis, Minnesota

“Paul Bunyan’s house was the coolest place we have ever stayed in! Such interesting decor, just like we were inside of the storybook. And also very clean and comfy. We had a wonderfully relaxing week before school started!”

Sue Rostad, Rochester, Minnesota

“Anderson Northland Lodge is within close proximity of the best Walleye, Muskie and Pike fishing on Leech Lake. For years my family and friends have enjoyed the luxury accommodations at the Anderson Lodges. The staff at Anderson Northland Lodge will always do their best to insure everyone has a safe and successful fishing vacation!”

FAQ’s

Do you allow pets?2020-02-04T12:44:52-06:00

Yes, dogs* are welcome at this resort. We’ve never had a dog smoke in bed and set fire to the blankets. We never had any issues with dogs stealing towels, TV remotes, life jackets, or pillows. We never had a dog that played music too loud, used obscene language around resort kids, or got drunk and broke a coffee table. So if your dog can vouch for you, then you are welcome to stay at our resort too. *We allow dogs of any size, fish, and birds; but no cats, ferrets, snakes, pet spiders, or monsters (especially not the kind that hide under beds at night). Dogs are $150/week or $30/night. (Without prior approval: $300/week).

Do you sell fishing licenses or where can we get them?2020-02-04T12:44:04-06:00

Fishing licenses are sold at most gas stations in our area. The nearest one is 5 minutes away near the casino at the intersection of Hwy 200 and Hwy 371.

Where can we do laundry?2020-02-04T12:43:42-06:00

Two washers and two dryers are available in the lodge for our guests to use 8am – 8pm. The cost is $4/load and there is NO need to bring quarters—just pay at the front desk or ask us to charge to your cabin. Our 8 bedroom family reunion cabin, BIG LOG, also has its own coin operated washer and dryer.

Do you have cribs or high chairs?2020-02-04T12:43:23-06:00

Pack’n’plays, high chairs, and booster seats available upon request—free of charge.

Do we need to bring beach chairs?2020-02-04T12:42:47-06:00

We have 20-30 beach chairs. All cabins have porch furniture (chairs) that can be used at the beach too. For extra seating at the beach, I recommend bringing a few chairs.

What grills do you have?2020-02-04T12:42:19-06:00

All of our cabins have charcoal grills and picnic tables. Big Log also has a gas grill (propane not included, though partial tanks are usually left behind by previous guests). Some grills are barrel shaped, while others are round and guests rotate them based on their personal grilling preferences.

What should we pack? / What items should we bring?2020-02-04T12:41:40-06:00

We supply all bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows, comfy beds), toilet paper, paper towels, dish towels, hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, bath/shower rugs, oven mitts, hot pads, and dishwasher tabs. Guests need to bring their own bath and beach towels, a check book/cash*, soap/shampoo, hair dryer, and charcoal for the grills. You could bring a favorite pillow too if you have a special one. * We accept all major credit/debit cards. Our prices reflect a 4% cash/check discount incentive. Any purchase made with a card will not receive the Cash Discount and an adjustment in cost will be displayed on your receipt. Guests sometimes ask if we have crock pots—yes all cabins have a Crockpot, griddle pan, blender, pots/pans, dishes, silverware, baking dishes, baking sheets, and some have waffle irons and roasters too.
